Women’s March participant to pregnant counterprotester: ‘I would want to kill myself if I was that baby’

A protester at the Women’s March in Washington, D.C., can be seen on video accosting a pregnant anti-abortion advocate who was playing the sound of her child’s heartbeat over a speaker.

“Women’s March protesters scream at pro life pregnant woman,” Daily Caller reporter Matthew Miller tweeted along with a video of the incident. “She was playing her babies heartbeat on a sonogram for the crowd to hear.”

A woman can be seen attempting to amplify the sound of her unborn child’s heartbeat, causing a Women’s March participant to say, “I would want to kill myself if I was that baby.”

“Imagine using your child for political shit,” the Women’s March protester added. “I’m saying if I was that child, I’d probably want to kill myself.”

The pregnant woman was asked why she was playing the sound of her child’s heartbeat, and she responded, “To show that my daughter is a real human. Yes, she’s in my body. Yes, I’m responsible for her, but her life matters too.”

The woman continued, “This march, they’re not marching for preborn women. That’s why I’m here, and that’s why my daughter’s here, so that they can have a voice as well.”

The woman added that several Women’s March protesters were telling her to “F off” and “go home.”

Thousands of protesters were taking part in the march in downtown Washington chanting and holding signs with messages critical of the Trump administration and the president’s Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
