MI vs RCB, IPL 2021: Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard in beast mode ahead of IPL 2021 opener, slam huge sixes; Watch- We are just a day away from one of the biggest showdown in cricket- IPL 2021. Defending champions Mumbai Indians will be locking horns against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2021 opening match in Chennai on Friday. Ahead of the big match, MI skipper Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard were seen hitting huge six in the practice session. The trio have the tendency to hit every ball out of the park. This could be a trailer ahead of the MI vs RCB. Sharing a video of their attacking abilities on Instagram, MI wrote, “BEAST MODE.”

On the record front, Kieron Pollard is only 2 sixes away from completing his 200 sixes in the IPL. He had slammed 6 sixes in an over against Sri Lanka last month. One can expect him to play those biggies in IPL 2021.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is only 4 sixes away to take over CSK skipper MS Dhoni in the list of most sixes scored in IPL. Dhoni is placed 3rd with 216 sixes. AB De Villiers is placed second on the list with 235 sixes. Punjab Kings’ Chris Gayle tops the list 349 sixes- most by any IPL player.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya is also known for clearing the ground with ease. He can score quickfire fifties and change the course of the match in only a few overs.

On the other hand, RCB also has big players who can hit sixes. They are skipper Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers and Glenn Maxwell. Like MI, The RCB trio also have enough calibre to hit big sixes and match equally on paper with Mumbai Indians.

The IPL 2021 opener could witness plenty of sixes at MA Chidambaram Stadium. The MI vs RCB LIVE action will begin at 7.30 pm on Star Sports, Hotstar.
