WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry is done as a full-time wrestler but he hasn’t closed the door on stepping in the ring again for a one-off match.
During an interview with Heavy.com’s Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Henry said he would come out of retirement for a match against fellow Nation Of Domination member The Rock.
“I’m 2-0 against The Rock,” Henry said. “I think I should give him the opportunity to get one, to get a ‘chip against me. I think if I was to come out of retirement and wrestle somebody, I would say, “Hey man. You wrestling again, huh? You know you never beat me. Don’t that bother you a little bit? You should wanna get that ‘chip…” and see what he says. He would say, ‘Your ass is going down this time! You might as well go on and look up at the lights!’ I would have to look at the lights.”
The Rock hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 32 in 2016 when he quickly defeated Erick Rowan. His last full match took place in 2013 at WrestleMania XIX against John Cena so the chances of seeing Rock vs. Henry are slim.
There has been talk of late of The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37 but nothing is set in stone and everything will depend on what he will be allowed to do because of the potential liability for his movie insurance.
