Pant also opened up with his association of DC coach Ricky Ponting.
“I think he has been so amazing for us in the last 2-3 years. Whenever he comes to the team, he brings that energy and everyone are looking up to him that he might do something different. As a player, when you see your coach and you are thinking this is the man from whom I can learn a lot. So nothing is better than that, that’s what I think. He’s doing a great job for 2-3 years and hopefully, we’ll cross the line this year with the help of Ricky Ponting and the whole team,” he said.
On his role as DC captain
“I would like to make most of the opportunity. That’s what I’m looking forward to. We haven’t won a title. I will try my level best to get a title this year and I think as a team. I feel we’re are playing nicely, everyone looks in a great form of mind, and that’s what you want as a captain from the team, that everyone is giving their 100%, everyone is happy in the team environment, and yes good things happen to the people who think good.”
