Drew McIntyre is still hoping to wrestle The Undertaker again

Drew McIntyre is still holding out hope that he can wrestle The Undertaker one more time even though The Deadman has said that he’s retired from being an in-ring performer.

The WWE Champion did an interview with SportsKeeda where he talked about a wide range of topics including The Undertaker.

McIntyre did get a chance to work with Taker throughout the years. Most notably, McIntyre teamed up with Shane McMahon to wrestle Taker and Roman Reigns in a tag team match at Extreme Rules.

“Selfishly, as much as he deserves this farewell, I’m hoping… that there is still something in there, at least for one more match. Be it cinematic or whatever, or he just feels it and he feels physically good and says ‘I want to fight Drew’, and he calls me… or like he said in The Last Ride Documentary, if Vince calls, you know he’ll be a good soldier and come running. I’ll harass Vince every day, like call him, call him, call him, call him. Selfishly I want that match, but he deserves to do whatever he wants after his career.”

McIntyre said the reason why he wants the match is in order to show Undertaker how much he’s grown over the years. He noted after the Extreme Rules tag match, he felt like they should’ve had a singles match.

McIntyre also talked about facing Reigns at Survivor Series, winning back the WWE Title, and more. The full interview can be read here.
