Cody Rhodes did an interview with TV Insider to discuss a wide range of topics.
During it, Rhodes was asked what he expects to see out of the promotion now that it’s in its second full year on TNT. There has been talk about adding an extra hour of programming by All Elite Wrestling. It’s been reported that this new programming is expected to be announced and perhaps even air before the end of the year.
To be clear, this is not Dynamite adding a third hour. Instead, Dynamite will remain a two-hour show while Dark will continue to be a one-hour show on YouTube.
This is a whole new show and one that Rhodes seems to believe will present itself soon.
“We have to move from novelty to commodity. One thing we’ve continued to do is recruit. People wonder why we’re recruiting when we only have this two-hour bullseye to hit. We know that this third hour is going to present itself soon. And I don’t mean a third hour of Dynamite. I mean a separate hour on a WarnerMedia network. We’ll be able to diversify and freshen up the content on a regular basis.”
Rhodes talked about AEW’s first year, the COVID-19 pandemic, and more. Check out the full interview here.
