Chris Jericho had COVID-19 in September

Chris Jericho shared some interesting news during the latest episode of his podcast, Talk is Jericho. Dr. Alex Patel, a critical care ICU doctor based in Toronto, Canada, was the guest for the episode as the two men talked about the COVID-19 pandemic.

It turns out that Jericho tested positive for the coronavirus around September, but had no symptoms.

“It’s interesting because I haven’t really told anyone this, but I tested positive maybe back in September. I had zero symptoms. I had my 10 days in isolation and stayed away from everybody. I didn’t have a symptom, I didn’t even know I had it. I went and got a test in general and they said I was positive. I was like, ‘Really? Are you serious? I didn’t have anything, I didn’t have a headache, I didn’t have a cough, which I guess is a very lucky thing. On top of that, once I did have it, it wasn’t a false positive, I took three different tests and they’re all positive. Now, I have the antibodies.”

Jericho brought up how when he gets tested for AEW events, he takes a blood test that still shows he has antibodies. He added that at the time, he lost his taste and was trying to remember the taste of orange juice.

The former AEW World Heavyweight Champion has received criticism for his stance on COVID-19 throughout the ongoing global health crisis. He got heat back in August for doing Fozzy concerts in South Dakota, and North Dakota, and Fort Madison. Nick Jackson just confirmed that he previously had the virus.
